Course Description

This training provides a simple overview of the optimization methodology you would take when trying to optimize your OpenCL implementation for an FPGA, using the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-1) as an example. The training walks you through the optimization processes using the Altera SDK for OpenCL tools to identify loop carried data dependencies using the optimization report as well as resolving system performance issues using the profiler.

  • Describe the process used to optimize OpenCL kernel code for an Altera FPGA
  • Understand optimization approaches to memory to create a custom solution for a flexible architecture
