The Macnica MEP100 turns standard COTS servers into real-time IP media processors. An Agilex 7 FPGA runs the full SMPTE ST 2110 stack in hardware, including PTP synchronization, ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy and JPEG XS compression, so the host CPU stays free for the application. Dual QSFP28 100GbE ports (with 25GbE support), PCIe Gen4 x16 and up to five DDR4 memory banks deliver high channel density, handling up to 32 4K streams per card. Kernel bypass moves media directly to GPU or application memory, and the Macnica M2S SDK plus SDI to IP gateway and NIC reference designs shorten development time. Linux, Windows and macOS are supported.

- ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy supporting Class A, B, C and D
- Zero-copy DMA with kernel bypass for direct transfer to and from user memory
- High channel density of up to 32 HD or 8 UHD video streams, plus up to 32 audio and 32 ancillary streams
- Full ST 2110 support for video (-20), traffic shaping (-21), audio (-30) and ancillary data (-40)
- Resolutions up to 3840 x 2160p at 59.94, 50 and 60 Hz, 4:2:2 10-bit
- PCIe Gen4 x16 host interface
- Linux, Windows and macOS support
- M2S SDK included, with a simple API that delivers media as frames and samples rather than packets
- GStreamer plugin support for video sink, audio source and audio sink
