The Comet A13 SOM is a highly integrated System-on-Module built around the Altera Agilex® 5 E-Series SoC FPGA (A5ED013BB32AE4SCS) in an ultra-compact 60mm × 55mm form factor, combining FPGA fabric with quad-core Arm Cortex-A76/A55 processors. Through dual 300-pin SEAM8 connectors, it exposes 191 HVIO (1.8/2.5/3.3V), 72 HSIO, 48 HPS I/O, and four transceivers up to 17.16 Gbps, while a hardware-isolated memory architecture provides 4GB LPDDR4 for the HPS and independent LPDDR4 for the FPGA, plus 8GB eMMC and QSPI flash. Backed by an officially maintained Ubuntu 22.04 BSP (Linux kernel 6.12 LTS) and a full-featured evaluation kit with Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, MIPI CSI-2, and USB Blaster III, the Comet A13 enables embedded developers—even without deep FPGA expertise—to move rapidly from prototyping to volume edge deployment in machine vision, robotics, smart camera, medical, and industrial automation applications.
