Summary:
A potential security vulnerability in some Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ software technology may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is not releasing updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability and has issued a Product Discontinuation Notice for Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ software technology.

Description: Uncontrolled search path in some Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ software technology may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.

Recommendations:
Intel has issued a product discontinuation notice for Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ software technology and recommends that users of the Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™ software technology migrate to Intel® FPGA Add-on for oneAPI Base Toolkit at their earliest convenience.
