iWave’s ARINC 818 Switch IP Core is designed to simplify the implementation of high-performance video switching systems in aerospace and defense applications. Compliant with the ARINC 818 standard, this IP core supports seamless switching and routing of multiple ARINC 818 video streams between various sources and sinks. It supports both 1x2 and 2x1 switch configurations, enabling flexible video stream duplication, redirection, or merging in safety-critical display and sensor systems.

Built for FPGA implementation, the IP core allows the routing of video signals over optical or copper transmission media with minimal latency and jitter. Its deterministic behavior and low-latency performance make it suitable for real-time video applications in avionics, such as mission displays, EO/IR systems, and synthetic vision platforms. The IP also includes programmable configuration options and status monitoring for reliable operation in rugged environments.
