X2CON

Safety-critical FPGA design does not tolerate shortcuts between the algorithm on the whiteboard and the bitstream in the field. X2CON closes that gap with a Model-Based Design workflow built on MATLAB and Simulink, generating qualified HDL from executable models that have been simulated, verified, and traced against requirements. A core discipline of the practice is the transition from floating-point reference to fixed-point implementation: analyzing how word length, rounding, and overflow modes shape algorithm behavior, quantifying quantization noise across signal chains and control loops, and reshaping the algorithm itself: restructuring filters, rescaling states, choosing CORDIC or lookup over direct arithmetic — so that the model that passes simulation is the one that survives silicon.
