MF-TDMA Modem

Qbit Labs Incorporation

Member

The MF-TDMA (Multi-Frequency Time Division Multiple Access) Modem IP Core is a high-efficiency, scalable, and standards-compliant solution designed for modern satellite communication and wireless networking systems.

It combines the flexibility of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) with the spectrum utilization benefits of multi-frequency operations, enabling dynamic bandwidth allocation and support for multiple users with varying data rate needs.

Key Features

  • Multi-Frequency Band Support: Operates across multiple carrier frequencies with dynamic channel hopping and flexible frequency reuse patterns.
  • Time Slot Management: Efficient time slot allocation and management with built-in scheduler logic or external interface for real-time MAC control.
  • Integrated PHY Layer: Complete baseband modem including channel coding (e.g., LDPC, Turbo), framing, modulation (QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK), synchronization, and equalization.
  • Interoperability: Supports waveform compatibility with existing MF-TDMA-based standards (e.g., DVB-RCS2, proprietary satcom systems).
  • Burst and Continuous Mode Support: Capable of supporting both burst-mode TDMA and continuous transmission modes based on system requirements.
