The IPP-SS115A-BR serves as an intelligent bridge between a SAS/SATA host and a SAS/SATA target, supporting speeds up to 12.0 Gb/s. Beyond simple speed matching and protocol bridging, this IP includes a "Sandbox" area—a dedicated logic block where developers can insert custom RTL. This allows for in-line data processing, such as custom encryption, data masking, or protocol analysis, all while the IntelliProp cores handle the heavy lifting of the SAS link and transport layers. It is the "Commander" of bridge solutions, providing enterprise-grade control for complex, customized storage topologies.
